Bookkeeper with IT Purchasing /Office Manager

We are looking for an energetic, motivated, fast learner to join our computer consulting firm in Orange County, CA as our Bookkeeper – Purchasing agent and also act as our Office manager who is an expert with QuickBooks and knows IT Purchasing. You must be willing to work independently and take initiative to start new projects. You will be learning new skills every day and will quickly become experienced in many types of software applications, server hardware, and networking hardware. You will need to be able to interface with individuals at our clients effectively and professionally when finding out about new purchases and license renewals. You will also be interacting with our partners and distributors to negotiate the best price possible for any software license or hardware requested by our customers.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Candidate must be able to effectively articulate technology information to customers

  • Ideal candidate MUST HAVE advanced experience with QuickBooks

  • Creating POs to send to customers

  • Reading quotes from vendors

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Accounts Payable

  • Bank Reconciliation

  • Invoice reconciliation

  • Payroll a plus but not required

  • Sales Taxation

  • Candidate should have IT purchasing experience

  • Candidate must have good telephone and customer service skills

  • Candidate must be proficient with MS office suite

  • Candidate may need to “upsell” with customers when renewals are due for software/hardware

  • Candidate should have basic office administration skills including but not limited to answering phones, Data Entry, doing mail runs, doing banking, setting up meetings when needed

  • Candidate must be willing to perform other office duties when needed
